Starling 1230mm (48.4") Wingspan - PNP from Skynetic - SKY1028-002

The Skynetic Starling is a high wing trainer that provides an economical entry for new RC pilots learning how to fly. Made with lightweight yet durable EPO foam with a high cambered wing and rugged tricycle style landing gear, the Starling delivers high value in a low cost trainer airplane. Both the wing and landing gear are easily removable for transport, and the internal structure is sensibly reinforced in specific areas so that the overall aircraft remains both durable and easy to repair.

Intermediate pilots may choose to remove the landing gear entirely to convert the model to a hand-launch/belly-land airplane for increased speed and agility.

I dont think the elevator angle is correct to go up. Does anyone have any info that would help

Hello David, If you set the elevator travel to 1/2" up and 1/2" down measured at the trailing edge of the elevator that will work fine for this model.

There is no online manual. The box did not have a manual. The description says check the manual for CG. Where is the recommended CG for this airplane? Millimeters from the leading edge of the wing would work.

The balance point for many aircraft, including this one, is one-third of the way back from the leading edge of the wing at its root (where it meets the fuselage). Mark it there, install all the electronic, including the battery, and test the balance. Adjust the battery fore or aft to achieve the balance.

I would advise larger wheels for grass fields but other than that it is good to go.

A bit marginal with a 2S battery but a 3S battery really brings it to life. So stable and easy to fly you don't need gyro assistance. No bad wing stalls at landing speeds. For the price you cant beat this plane as a trainer or just a casual fly around. Only wish is that the fuse was a bit wider to aid radio gear installation.

My issue is the landing gear screws are very short.. I feel they are not strong enough..the only ones you can use are the short black ones.. I ordered a full set of replacement screws and will use the longer ones to better secure the main gear. The rest of the plane is great..flies well easy assembly. I used the fiber rods (2)and The screws only..no need to glue the wing halves together .

Lucky me ,wearing a strong harness, not a scratch, and I returned to my unit in the Philippines. Talk about a scary experience, To be honest I am still recovering from an accident, last year, so flying has been out of the question, but this HELICOPTER, is something very special to me. IT is really special, in detail, also has room upfront for a pilot 1/6, and a 1/6 copilot, meticulous realism, GET YOURSELF ONE, YOU WONT BE SORRY, it's a beauty. If you love Huey's like I do.........

The Eurofighter 90mm 6S is my fourth Freewing EDF Jet from Motion RC; first delta wing jet and it has become my favorite! It is somewhat heavy but it flies very light and agile....read moreThe Eurofighter 90mm 6S is my fourth Freewing EDF Jet from Motion RC; first delta wing jet and it has become my favorite! It is somewhat heavy but it flies very light and agile. Takes-off like a champ. Lands well very well but do keep the nose up as this jet wants a higher angle of attack on approach than more conventional designs and work the throttle to control rate of descent/sink do not try to float this in. Battery Bay is the biggest flaw; poorly designed. No space to move a larger battery back and get a good neutral CG. I am currently running stock setup per the manual SMC 4900 HV packs to keep the weight down and lessen nose heaviness. Balances about 15-20mm behind the factory CG mark and Im getting 3 to 3:30ish flight time depending on wind conditions with mixed throttle flight. Love the presence and profile of this jet iin the air; especially with ordnance on; looks muscular and very impressive on slow and fast low passes down the runway. And it sounds amazing as well! Another minor issue was the vertical stabilizer came with a large rip that looked big and **** but did not affect the integrity of the control surface. Normally if I find a small blemish in the foam I ignore it but this one was too big to disregard. To Motion RCs credit I contacted them about this and they sent a new one out right away and I had it in 3 days. Fantastic customer service!! Overall great experience and if you have any interest in this jet at all just get it…if it is in stock…it is a popular one for reasons that I now understand for myself!

Two surprises I got were that you had to buy a programmer in order to adjust the get rates. Hmmm at$800 for this plane an $11 programmer should have been included at best let you know that you need it. Yet another shipping charge. The other small surprise is that if you plan to use suggested control rates, be prepared to move linkages at servo and horn. Tires are hard, but this may be needed due to the weight of this airplane. I’m eager to get it in the air. It’s massive and impressive.

A bit challenging at first, but this plane can be flown at slower speeds as well.
